James (Seamus) Valentine Smith

James (Seamus) Valentine Smith, 81, of Ocean Springs, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Ocean Springs. Jim was a native of Dublin, Ireland, born May 19, 1928. He immigrated to the United States in 1950. After a 25 year career in the United States Armed Services he retired in 1978. We will remember Jim for his honesty, integrity, genuine care and generosity for his family, and those in need of help. He loved nature and all God's creatures. Our family is most thankful for the prayers, thoughts, and tremendous support and caring by family and friends during this time of sorrow. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs with Father Thomas White the celebrant. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home of Howard Avenue, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
