James C. Stephenson

James C. Stephenson, a longtime resident of Biloxi, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024. 

Mr. Stephenson served in the United States Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietman Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal for his years of service. He spent his later years on the Gulf Coast working at Popps Ferry Hardware in Biloxi and is remembered fondly by the Griggs family, Madison Burrell, and the patrons who frequented there. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Major Merle L. Stephenson and Martha C. Stephenson. 

The visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. The Honor Guard will begin their presentation at 5:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow. Mr. Stephenson will be laid to rest in Ruleville, MS.
