Jan Allan

Janis Ferguson "Jan" Allan, age 89, of Gulfport died Wednesday, December 12, in Gulfport. She was a native of Dayton, TX and was a longtime resident of Gulfport. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mosie Ferguson, her husband, D.W. "Pete" Allan and a sister Lady Nan LaCour. She is survived by her sister, Leila Frazier of Houston, Texas, her god-children, and many friends who loved her. Jan graduated from high school in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, and attended college in New Orleans. She was a longtime member of St. Peter's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church in Gulfport and lived her ministry through her gifts to others. In lieu of flowers Jan would wish memorials to St. Peter's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, 1304 E. Pass Rd., Gulfport, Ms 39507. The funeral sevice will be Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 3:00 p.m.at St. Peter's By-The-Sea Episcopal Church, 15th Street, Gulfport, with interment at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
