Janet Kay "Jan" Novotny

Janet Kay "Jan" Novotny, 50, of Biloxi, MS died Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Biloxi. Janet was a native of Independence, MO and a resident of the Gulf Coast for 26 years. She was employed with the City of Biloxi in the Mayor's office and the City Planning Commission from 1987 to present. She was the Rock of the family and we know you are watching over us. Most importantly, we know you were a beloved and devoted Mom, wife, problem solver, best friend, great cook, listener and artist. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma White McClanahand; and sister, Kathy Massey. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, John Novotny of Biloxi; daughters, Nicole Novotny and Meagan Novotny both of Biloxi; father, Gerald (Lynn) McClanahand of Buickner, MO; and her prescious Hendrix and Jett. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 Hwy. 49, Gulfport, MS 39501. A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
