Janet Monahan Seymour, age 57, of Biloxi, MS., went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, December 24, 2011.
She was a resident of the Biloxi area since childhood residing in St. Martin, Latimer and finally in Woolmarket. She was a graduate of St. Martin High and a member of Cedar Lake Christian Assembly where she had been involved in children’s and music ministries and part of numerous productions.
Janet was President of Gulf Pride Enterprises Inc. family seafood and shrimp processer and an active member of American Shrimp Processors Association.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Gollott Skermetta and E. M. Gollott and a sister, Helen Monahan Young.
Survivors include her husband of twenty two and a half years, Norwood (Buckshot) Seymour, Jr., stepchildren, Melanie Seymour Pittman (Jody) and Brandon J. Seymour (Kim), five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, siblings, Ann Monahan Gary, Kathy Monahan Cruthirds (Ben), Wally Gollott (Leslie) Jon Gollott (Michelle) Richard Gollott (Tookie) David Gollott (Judy) Douglas Gollott (Peggy) and Kathy Gollott Brooks (Robert) and father and mother-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Norwood Seymour, Sr. of Woolmarket. She is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews, numerous great- nieces and nephews and parent, Walter Monahan of Belleville, IL.
Janet was a graduate of International Gospel Outreach School of missions and an active participant and supporter of numerous missions’ works in Kenya East Africa, Southern Mexico and Cuba.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 6 pm until 7 pm, with a 7 pm Celebration of Life service, all at Cedar Lake Christian Assembly, 11555 Cedar Lake Rd. Biloxi. Private interment will be in the Wilkerson Family Cemetery, Larue MS on Wednesday. January 4, 2012.
