Janice W. Gerhart

Mrs. Janice W. Gerhart, age 73, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Friday, May 23, 2008, in Gautier, MS. Mrs. Gerhart was born in Andalusia, AL., and was a resident of Ocean Springs for forty years. She was a veteran of the US Air Force from 1958-1962, was a member of the N.C.O. Wives Club serving as President for 5 years, and was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Springs. She was a volunteer with the Ocean Springs Middle School and Ocean Springs High School Bands and was also an assistant coach for the Ocean Springs YMCA T-Ball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Gerhart, her parents, Bobbye and Richard Grantham and her stepmother, Louise Grantham. Survivors include two daughters, Melinda Gerhart and Debra (Percy, Jr.) Maynard and four grandchildren, Percy III, Atalie, Brent and Ronnie. Visitation will be on Monday, May 26, 2008, from 5-7 PM at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Tuesday, May 27, 2008, there will be a 12 Noon Church Service at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, where friends may visit from 11 AM - 12 Noon. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
