Jay K. Hertling, age 50, of Biloxi died suddenly and unexpected Tuesday, October 3, 2006 in Biloxi. Mr. Hertling was born in New Jersey, but embraced Biloxi as his home for the past nine years. He was a member of Popps Ferry Baptist Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi.
Mr. Hertling was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Shannon and Dorothy Eleuterius.
Mr. Hertling is survived by his adoring wife, Rhanda Hertling of Biloxi; a step-daughter, Angie Hancock of Biloxi; a daughter, Arianne Hertling and two sons, John Hertling and Dominic Hertling, all of New Jersey; a grandson, Damon Hertling; his parents, John and Hannah Hertling and his sister Pamela Galuskin; his brother Gary Hertling, all of New Jersey.

The funeral service is Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Popps Ferry Baptist Church in Biloxi where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until the service. Mr. Hertling will be sent to Megard Funeral Home in Belleville, New Jersey for burial. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
