Jean Catherine Whitlock

Mrs. Jean Catherine Murphy Whitlock, age 76, of Ocean Springs, MS., crossed over to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in Ocean Springs. Jean was born on January 5, 1934, in Kosciusko, MS., to the late Ollie Gerald and Maude Murphy. She was married to the late Bache McEvers Whitlock and they had two sons, Christopher Emmet Whitlock and the late Gavin Simonds Whitlock. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, a sister, Pearl Wagner, and seven brothers, Jack, Gerald, Richard, Jimmy, Iralee, Clyde and Pete Murphy. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Christopher Emmet Whitlock, grandson, Ross McEvers Whitlock, two sisters, Lucille (Clyde) Anglin and Barbara (Frank) Hisaw and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and devoted friends, Patricia Welch, Elnora Reddix and Alice Duckett. Visitation will be on Monday, April 5, 2010, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., with a 10 a.m. chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
