Jeff Davis Dulaney, age 73, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, November 9, 2015.
Jeff was born in Fulton, MS. He was a great artist who enjoyed drawing funny sketches to make people laugh. He served in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1964. Jeff formerly worked as a welding instructor at Ingalls’s Shipbuilding East Bank and was a part-time Ocean Springs Police Deputy. He received Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Fire and Safety. He was a fireman at the Kreole, MS Fire Station and then moved to the main Moss Point Fire Station where he was a Fireman /Fire Inspector. Jeff retired in 1993 from Brown & Root Construction Company as a Quality Assurance Inspector. He was a member of the Franklin Creek Church of God and Chicot Street Church of God and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Noonan E. and Ruby B. (Hood) Dulaney; and son-in-law: Donnis Atwell.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred E. (Dean) Dulaney; children, Connie D. (David) Creel and Jane M. (Donnis) Atwell; grandchildren, David ‘Anthony’ Creel and Candice V. Creel; siblings, Phoenix (Betty) Dulaney, Donny (Oline) Dulaney and Twinette ‘Gale’ Wallace; best buddy, Tommy (Viola) Cooper; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family requests in-lieu of flowers to donate to one of Jeff’s favorite charities: Shriners Hospital for Children (Houston) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
