Jennifer Lynn Neumann Robbins, 22, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Huntsville, AL. Jennifer was born January 29, 1985 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi and was a former Ocean Springs resident, but made her home in Starkville, MS, where she was a student at Mississippi State University in Software Engineering. She also worked for United Space Alliance in Huntsville, AL at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. She previously attended the Mississippi School for Math and Science in Columbus, MS where she graduated in 2003. Jennifer, as a child, enjoyed many activities including softball where she was known as "Little Blue Glove". She was a former Candy Striper at Ocean Springs Hospital. She was also in the Ocean Springs High School Band and played the clarinet. She also loved riding bicycles and had recently begun mountain biking. Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles George and Matilda Neumann of Biloxi, MS, great grandmother, Helen L. Defosse of Coventry, Rhode Island. She is survived by her husband, John Eldon Robbins, of Starkville, MS. Her parents, Mark and Kerry Neumann of Ocean Springs, MS; a sister, Marilyn (Kenneth) Jean Neumann Hillard and nephew Kenneth Zachary Hillard of Pembroke Pines, FL; grandparents, John and Maureen Hopkins of Brookesville, FL, and Helen Pauline Defosse of West Warwick, Rhode Island; her mother-in-law, Peggy Woosley and husband, Tommy, of Kiln, MS, and her father-in-law, John David Robbins of Des Moines, Iowa, 2 feline companions, Smokey and Hazel, along with many family members and friends. The family prefers memorials to: Multiple Sclerosis Society 145 Executive Dr., Suite 1, Madison, MS 39110. The family would like to thank Asbury U.M.C. in Madison, AL. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Asbury. Friends may call phone number 256-837-0365 for information. Visitation is Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel where friends may visit from 11 a.m until service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
