Jenny Rebecca Woods

Jenny Woods, 37, of D'Iberville, MS, died Sunday, July 3, 2011, in Biloxi. Jenny was born in Columbus, MS and had been a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a Christian and an active member of Rodenberg Church of Christ where she served as church secretary. She was also the secretary for the Biloxi Edgewater and North Bay Civitan Clubs. She received an Honors Key which recognized her duty to Civitans. A Fellow-In-Memoriam has been opened in Jenny's name in honor of her long time service to Civitans. She also was a volunteer to Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Red Cross. She was an avid computer buff and a big time Blake Shelton fan. Jenny was a graduate of D'Iberville High School and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Jenny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy Woods, Sr., Thelma (Frank) Loosier and Robert and Julia Hodges. She is survived by her mother, Linda Woods of D'Iberville; father, Roy Woods of Gulfport; and her Godchild, Marcus Sylvester of D'Iberville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Civitan International, P. O. Box 130744, Birmingham, AL 35213 or to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi, where friends may visit from 9 a.m. until service time.
