Mr. Jerome "Jerry" Schwartzman, age 89, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, September 23, 2012, in Biloxi.
Mr. Schwartzman was a native of Bronx, NY, a retired USAF M/Sgt and a veteran of WWII, where he was a radio systems operator on a B-17 bomber. He was previously a letter carrier for the Biloxi Post Office and a co-owner of The French Connection Restaurant. Mr. Schwartzman was a founding member of the Krewe of Rix where he served as the lifetime treasurer. He was an avid card player and dearly loved his card playing friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina McLean Schwartzman, son, Thomas Brewer, granddaughter, Barbara Gentry and grandson, Bart Brewer.
Survivors include two daughters, Camellia (Ken) Ricks and Debbie (David) Lawrence, a son, David (Marie) Brewer, sister, Arlene Bruno, and twelve grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, from 9 am until 11 am, with an 11 am chapel service, all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
