Jerry Alton Walters III

Jerry Alton Walters, III, 22, of Austin, TX departed this earth on September 26, 2009 to enter the infinite universe he so often spoke of. Jerry was a son, brother, friend and ultimately a musican. Playing the guitar was Jerry's solitude, bringing him peace in this stressful world. Living in Austin, TX, he was pursuing a new idea to bring music to a greater audience. Jerry is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Walters. He is survived by his parents, Jerry A. and Allyson Cartee Walters, II; brothers, Austin and Dillon Walters; paternal grandfather, Jerry (Elizabeth) Walters, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Marilyn (Edward) Knowles and maternal grandfather, William Ray Cartee and numerous other family members and friends. A musical scholarship to honor Jerry's love of music has been set-up in his name. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to: The Jerry A. Walters, III Musical Scholarship, Hancock Bank, MS. Visitation will be on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Both will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral.
