Jerry Wayne Bankester

Jerry Wayne Bankester, Sr. (J.W.B.) passed away peacefully at the V.A. Medical Center on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at the age of 74. Jerry, a loving father, is survived by his five children, Dorthy Ramsey and her spouse Alexander Ramsey of Gulfport, Doris Bankester of Biloxi, Jerry Bankester Jr. of Biloxi, Edna Bankester of Gulfport, Jason Keller of Biloxi; a sister, Nancy Carroll of Pensacola, FL; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and many loving friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Bueron Obrey and Doris Ruth Bankerster; and two sisters, Peggy and Susie. Born May 1, 1941 in Pensacola, FL, Jerry was an U.S. Army Veteran. He worked in the shipyards and construction for most of his career. Jerry was a loving, gentle man to all those he knew. He was a master carpenter who generously built treasured memories with his loving hands and gave to his family and friends. Thanks to the V.A. Medical Center for their help and support.
