Jerry Bodin

Jerry Joseph Bodin, 80, of Vancleave, MS died Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Ocean Springs. Jerry was born September 26, 1931 in Biloxi, Back Bay. He served 21 years in the Navy and Air Force and he worked for 12 years with the City of Biloxi at the Senior Citizen Center as Director. Jerry was a very active member of St. Michael's and St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church where he was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Bodin; sons, David Michael and Gerald Joseph of Biloxi. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty; his children, Rene (Betsy) Bodin, Lisa (Tim) Wold, Ellison Bodin, Steven (Patty) Bodin, Phillip (Dawn) Bodin and Jeff Bodin; his brother, Ray Bodin; sister, Phyllis Lepoma; grandchildren, Christina, Elizabeth, Michael, Tasha, Holly, Dawn, Brandon, Ryan, Katie, Emily, Kyle, Cody, Kallie and Santana; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Ali Grace, Kate, Natalie, Ethan and Alexandra. Jerry will be sadly missed by his beloved church family. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations be made to St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church Building Fund, 4900 Riley Road, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Visitation will be at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a 7:30 pm Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am Monday, February 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church where friends may visit 9:30 am until mass time. Interment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
