Mr. Jerry L. Dulaney, age 77, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at his house in Ocean Springs, surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Dulaney was a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 35 years. His first three years of military service was in the Army during the Korean Conflict, where he received a Purple Heart for his combat injuries. He later joined and retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service. He continued his service to his country for fifteen years with Civil Service.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Helen J. Dulaney and Johnnie Sue Dulaney and his parents, Earnest Dulaney and Veea Jones Dulaney.
Survivors include his two daughters, Charmagne Dulaney and Valorie Dulaney, son-in-law, Johnny L. Bang, all of Ocean Springs, MS., and grandchildren, Christopher W. Manning of Destin, FL. and Terry Lee (Jo Ellen) Bang of Gulfport, MS.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 25, 2008, from 5-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Tuesday, August 26, 2008, there will be an 11 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
