Jerry Lou Moore Griffin

Jerry Lou Moore Griffin, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024 at the age of 86.

She was born in Kemper County, MS on July 6, 1938. She moved to Meridian, MS as a child where she attended school. She and Ralph were married for sixty-two years until his death in 2015.

Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Connell Griffin, Sr.; and parents, Melvie McKee Moore and Delmon Moore of Meridian, MS.

She is survived by their children, Dr. Ralph C. “Tootie” (Carol) Griffin, Jr. of Macon, GA and Janet Renee Trehern (Walter Edward) of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Kirsten Schwab of Durham, CA, Kourtni Markle of Ocean Springs, MS, Kimily Trehern of Jackson Hole, WY; and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to The Memorial Garden Fund at First United Methodist Church, PO Box 371, Pascagoula, MS 39568 or The Griffin Family Endowment Scholarship Fund at The University of Mississippi Foundation, 406 University Ave., Oxford, MS 38655.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
