Jerry W. Bell

Mr. Jerry W. Bell, age 74, of Ocean Springs, died Sunday, August 26, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Bell was a resident of the community for fifty one years and was very active on various church committees at the First United Methodist Church of Biloxi. He loved woodworking, was a charter member of the Fort Bayou Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Lions Club, and the Amateur Radio Club. Mr. Bell was also a retired Civil Service electronics instructor at Keesler AFB. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Thornwell and Florence Bell, a sister, Margaret Neal, and two brothers, Ed Bell and O'Neal Bell. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patsy Thornton Bell of Ocean Springs, a daughter, Kimberly Ann Bell of New Orleans, LA., a son, Jeffrey (Denise) Bell of Vancleave, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 30, 2007, from 11 AM to 12 Noon, with a 12 Noon church service, all at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in downtown Ocean Springs. Burial will follow in Southern Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be sent to the St. Paul UMC, Downtown, 800 Porter Street, Ocean Springs, MS. 39564.
