Jess Eugene McDonnell

Jess Eugene McDonnell, age 70, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Jess was born on February 11, 1954 in Oakland, CA to Loren Bud McDonnell and Maria Fyles Young. He served in the US Marines and worked for the Municipality of Anchorage in the Muni Radio Shop. He loved fishing for halibut and salmon and he loved his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Young and step-father, Jack Young; and by his father, Loren McDonnell. Survivors include his spouse, Vicky Dickens McDonnell; son, Brandon McDonnell (Lyssa); grandchildren, Riot McDonnell, Annastacia Reeve, Syriah Keller and Elijah Hansen; and by his siblings, Sonja Carrion, Frederica Myers (Patrick), Bud McDonnell, Bernard Miller, Ward McDonnell and Lori McDonnell.

A memorial service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Friends are invited to visit from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The family request attendees wear casual clothing for services.
