Jewel Harris

Jewel Harris, 82, of D'Iberville, MS died on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Mrs. Harris was born in Columbia, MS but had been a longtime resident of D'Iberville. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her husband, George "Peaches" Harris; parents, John and Minnie Bell Lowery. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Harris Krause of Biloxi, Deborah Richard of Greenville, MS, Sheila Egger of Las Vegas, NV and Trina Teubert of Del City, OK; sister, Pearl Hungerford of Woolmarket; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The Harris family would like to personally thank the staff of Greenbriar Nursing Center, Biloxi Regional and Dr. Pavlov for their compassion and outstanding medical care provided to their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in D'Iberville Memorial Park with a procession beginning at 2:00 p.m.
