Joann T. Ruquet

Joann T. Ruquet, 83, formerly of Pascagoula, MS, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023 in her home in Biloxi, MS. Joann was a loving mother, adoring grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, and a friend to many.

Joann was born on January 17, 1940 in Preston, MS.

After rearing her 4 children, Joann pursued a career in the retail industry, progressing into management roles. She was also known by family and friends for her holiday treat platters each Christmas and her excellent cooking skills.

Upon retirement, Joann found immense pleasure and happiness watching her 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren grow and flourish.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends; and her memory will be cherished.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents Thomas M. and Lucille L. Frazier, brother Stanley C. Frazier and loving husband James M. Ruquet.

She is survived by her son Barry L. Thrasher (Laurie) and daughters Yvonne M. Raden (David), Becky L. Holland (Jim), Rhonda K. Kvech (Mike). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Interment will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 1:30 pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the service at 2:30 pm at Patio 44, Biloxi, MS.
