Joel Lindsey Anderson

Joel Lindsey Anderson was born in Gulfport, MS on June 15, 1950 and died February 24, 2021 at his home in Biloxi after a lengthy illness. He graduated Gulfport High School in 1968 and the University of Southern Mississippi in 1972. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves and then pursued a career in sales. Joe was predeceased by his parents Oliver and Carolyn Anderson, brother Charles Thomas Anderson and sister Carol Olivia Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Elvin, and her children John Elvin of Atlanta and Patty Guider of Biloxi. He is also survived by his brother Oliver Lloyd Anderson (Sylvia), sister Audrey Anderson Montgomery (Bob) and Jan Anderson, sister-in-law. Joe will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his unrecorded renditions of “Nobody Knows the Troubles I See”. Private services were held. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, is honored to serve the Anderson family.
