Mr. John Jiles Carnley, age 74, of Corinth, Texas, died Friday, March 3, 2006, in Dallas, Texas.
Mr. Carnley was born on April 30, 1931, the son of Louis Abbey Carnley and Minnie Ophelia Hall. He was a longtime resident of Vancleave and Biloxi, MS.
He had a love for people. His greatest loves were his wife of 43 years, his grandchildren, and his service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was also a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters LU568 in Gulfport, MS., for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Hazel Monk and Joyce Saujon.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Anne Smith Carnley of Corinth, TX, two daughters, Marie Hand of Austin, TX., and Carla Cannon of Las Vegas, NV., four sons, Rodney Moran of Seabrook, N.H., Curtis Moran of Mattawan, MI., Timothy Moran of San Diego, CA., and John Carnley, Jr. of Slidell, LA., fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 9, 2006, from 7-9 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, March 10, 2006, there will be a 1 PM church service at the LDS Church, 14828 Big Ridge Rd., in North Biloxi. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
