John Cook, Sr.

John Harvey Cook Sr., 57, of Biloxi died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Biloxi. Mr. Cook was a member of Ramsey Creek Baptist Church, a trapper of predatory wildlife, and called everybody "Big Daddy" or "Scoop". He was a loving, husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Annie Cook. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Dora Hardy Cook, six daughters, Linda (Jason) Broadus of Hurley, Johnnie (Scott) Alley of Ocean Springs, Lanell (David) Bracks of D'Iberville, Katie Cook of Vancleave, Brandys (Daniel) Massey of Latimer and Christy Howell of Vancleave. Three sons, John Cook, Jr., of Vancleave, Daniel (Lisa) Parker of Biloxi, Dougy (Joan) Parker of Biloxi and 13 grandchildren. Survivors also include his sisters, Jessie Nell Johnson of Collins, MS, Bessie Nell Rocco of Biloxi, Nancy Young of Biloxi, Janice Trosclair of Biloxi, Joyce Ferrill of Baton Rouge, LA and Alice Johnson of Collins, MS, also a brother, Chester Cook of Collins, MS., 12 nieces and 15 nephews. There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Ramsey Creek Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior to service.
