John Edward Crowell

Mr. John Edward Crowell, age 88, passed away quietly on the evening of Sunday, November 15, 2015. Mr. Crowell, known by most of his family and friends as simply ‘Crowell’, lived in Ocean Springs, MS for over 35 years. He retired from Shell Oil Company in 1986. He was a lifelong Catholic and attended St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. He also served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Randolph and was a very active participant in his ship’s reunions. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus and Helen Crowell; his brother Thad Crowell; and his beloved wife Nellie Reinhardt Crowell. Crowell’s survivors include his sister, Marie Tennille; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Kathy Crowell; and his grandchildren, Kimberly and Jason Crowell. Crowell is also survived by his sister-in-law, Jo Marie Crowell, and his many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
