John E. "Buddy" Jones

John Eugene "Buddy" Jones, Sr., age 82, of Gulfport passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010. He was born March 7, 1928 in Biloxi. He was in the Army for two years in Germany. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Biloxi for thirty-five years and also at the Harrison County Courthouse for nineteen years. He was a lifetime member of the Biloxi Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Winnie Jones. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Palazzo Jones; a son, John "Dusty" Jones, Jr. a sister, Emma Poirier; a brother, Marino Jones; one granddaughter, Casey Logsdon; a loving family and many friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 12:00 noon at St. James Catholic Church in Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the service. Interrment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi with military honors.
