John G. Etherton, Sr., age 88, of D’Iberville, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022.

John was born on February 2, 1934 in D’Iberville. He worked as a civil servant at the naval base and served for 4 years on a Navy aircraft carrier. John enjoyed all sports and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Esther Etherton.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Etherton; sons, John (Pam) Etherton, Jr. and Robert D. (Becky) Etherton; grandchildren, Shanna Harard, John G. Etherton III, Savanna Etherton, and Montanna Etherton; sister-in-law, Joy Leistiko; and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

The family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438.
