John Everett Fisher

Mr. John Everett Fisher, 75, of Ocean Springs, MS, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 18, 2011. Mr. Fisher was born in Chicago, Il and had been a resident of Ocean Springs for the past 16 years. He was a retired U. S. Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. He also retired from Sears after 23 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion in Ocean Springs and also a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs. Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings and twin daughters, Kim and Lynn. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Nancy Fisher; two daughters, Vicki Matich and Rebecca Sue Fisher; and grandchildren, Sheila Bergin, Heather Pohlit, Kerstin Schanmayer, Annie Matich, Debbie Matich, and Lauren Guilbeaux. Visitation is Thursday, July 21, 2011, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
