Mr. John Franklin Forbish, 67, of Biloxi, MS, died suddenly Thursday, January 29, 2009, in Biloxi.
Mr. Forbish was born in Natchez, MS and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. Most recently, John worked in the casino industry, making many friends among his co-workers and customers in Las Vegas and Biloxi. Known for his great wit and his love and appreciation for family, friends, and good times, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. John's tender heart and generous nature extended beyond his loved ones to include his beloved dogs, Pretty Boy and Little Bit, his donkey, Jesus, and other pets.
Mr. Forbish was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Leslie Forbish; and nephew, John "Py" Moragne. He is survived by his wife, Amber Toncrey Forbish; three daughters, Rebecca Cornelson, Jennifer Hodge and Sharon Cuevas; son, Matthew Forbish; sister, Jean Forbish Boley; brother, Bob Forbish; niece, Leslie Jean Molnar; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2009, at 12 noon at Bradfrod-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the J. Forbish Memorial Account at any Hancock Bank Branch.
