John R. Green

Mr. John R. Green Jr, age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Friday, December 13, 2013, in Moss Point, MS. Mr. Green was a native of Cleveland, MS and a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was a member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He retired as a Safety Director with a trucking company. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Green Sr and Myrtle F. Green. Survivors include two sisters, Laverne Reese and Elsie Mae (Woodrow) Coleman and two brothers, James (Betty) Green and Reverend Dennis (Janet) Green. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, from 10 am until 11am, with an 11 am church service, all at Belle Fountain Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
