Mr. John H. "Red" Waltman, age 56, of Vancleave, MS., died Wednesday, October 12, 2005, in Vancleave.
Mr. Waltman was a lifelong resident of the community and a lifelong member of the Vancleave Holiness Church. He retired from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, the Jackson County Campus, after 25 years of employment. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Waltman was preceded in death by his father, Isacar "Tickle" Waltman, and mother, Lucy Bang, sisters, Vera "Sue" Bang and Alice "Peddie Lou" Forehand, and brother, Jesse "Champ" Waltman. He is survived by a daughter, Tanya (Stephen) Ladnier of Vancleave, sisters, Pearlie Mae "Peanut" (Leon) Forehand, Sarah Bang, both of Vancleave, Laura Ann Martinez of St. Martin, and Sally Waltman of Lyman, brothers, Edmond J. "Mancy" (Rita) Waltman of Gautier, Howard Ray (Fran) Waltman of Escatawpa, and Robert (Mory) Waltman of Vancleave.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 14, 2005, from 5-8 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Saturday, October 15, 2005, there will be a 10 AM chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery.
