John Klotter, 77, passed away June 1, 2020 at Singing River Hospital, Ocean Springs, MS.
He was born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BFA in communications. He became a writer and creative director for Zerox Corp in Rochester, NY, where he launched the first color copier program. In Huntsville, AL, he became a top sales representative and was tapped to head the Birmingham/ Huntsville sales team. He transferred to Pensacola, FL and later started Video Vendor stores, which thrived for over twenty years. As an entrepreneur, he added stores, purchased a car dealership, and began an art and framing business for many years. John spent forty years in his beloved Pensacola, golfing, fishing, boating, enjoying visits to his cabins in Tennessee, and spending time with his special dog companions.
John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Klotter.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of fifty-five years; his daughter, Kristy Sargent; his son, John Randall Klotter; his brother, David Klotter; his granddaughter, Gillian Bounds; brother-in-law, Steve Tillett; and sister-in-law, Terry Tillett.
Most of all, John will be remembered for his devotion and love for his family, who will miss him greatly.
A celebration of life will be held at his daughter’s house in Ocean Springs, MS on June 6, 2020 and in Pensacola, FL next month. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, is honored to serve this family.
