John Leonard "Len" Adams, Sr.

John Leonard "Len" Adams, age 71, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Ocean Springs. He retired in 1979 as a Msgt. with 22 years of service in the U. S. Air Force. Following his retirement, he immediately went to work for the U.S.A.F. Civil Service. He served as Training Development Element Chief for 32 years with a combined Federal Service of 54 years. He was a beloved husband and father of four and grandfather of ten. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family and his dog, Maggie. He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan "Jody" Adams, Sr.; his parents, Clarence Leonard Adams and Annie Clyde Phillips; his stepfather, Vernon Phillips; his grandparents, Asa Carl Eskew and Ettie Depree Eskew. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy "Dot" Adams; his sons, John L. (Michele) Adams, Jr., Jeffrey M. Adams; his daughter, Jennifer K. Adams; his grandchildren; John L. (Shannon) Adams, III, Daniele E. Adams, Christopher R. Adams, Wyatt C. Adams, Cierra C. Adams, Jonathan L. Morrow, Jessica D. Morrow, Jackie A. Morrow, Julia L. Morrow and Jordan Adams, Jr.; his sisters, Carolyn Adams, Darlene (David) Blair, Cathey Lovett; his brother-in-law, Bobby (Lucy) Tullos; his sister-in-law, Becky (George) Jenkins; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe. Interment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery; 400 Veterans Ave., Biloxi, MS, 39531.
