John McGrath

Mr. John Joseph McGrath IV, age 18, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Saturday, January 14, 2006, in Gautier. Mr. McGrath was a resident of the community for three years. He was a soloist, graduated from high school with high honors and was a Mississippi scholar. He was a member of the golf team at Ocean Springs High School, as well as being on the soccer, football and baseball teams in Lake Charles, LA. He hunted in Louisiana and was scheduled to start LSU in the spring of 2006. John was a very polite and caring person who took care of his twin brother and his friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nicole McGrath and his grandfather, John Joseph McGrath, III. He is survived by his parents, Kurtis and Sandra McGrath, and his twin brother, Adam McGrath, all of Ocean Springs. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, from 1-2 PM, with a 2 PM Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. John will be sent to Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA., for services and burial at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles.
