John Pietrangleo Sr.

Mr John J. Pietrangleo, Sr. "Paw-Paw", 86 of Biloxi, MS. passed away Friday, December 22, 2006 Mr. Pietrangleo was born in Mirabello Sannitica, Itlay on Janurary 8, 1920. His family moved to Waukesha, Wisconson and later settled in Milwaukee. He joined the Army Air Corp in 1941. After the war he was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base where in spent most of his 20 year career. He retired from the Air Force in 1961 and from civil service in 1982 . He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Italian-American Society and the VFW Post 2434, Biloxi, MS. Mr. Pietrangleo was preceded in death by his parents, Michele and Filomena D'Alessio Pietrangleo, one brother, Carmen, and his wife of 60 years Mary Sardina Pietrangleo. He is survived by two sons, Tom "Pete" and wife Linda, of Ocean Springs and John, Jr. and his wife Susan of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters Delores Gara, of Biloxi, Antonina Curry, of Miami, FL. and Karen Simmons and her husband Evertt, of Hot Coffee, MS; four brothers, Tony, Dominic, Nunzio and Mike Pietrangleo; two sisters, Rose and Philomena Pietrangleo; 22 grandchildren, 45 great- grandchildren, 22 great-greatgrandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport,Ms. The family has requested that donations be sent to the Charity of your choice in memory of Mr. John Pietrangleo Sr.
