John Michael Schaefer

Mr. John Michael Schaefer, Jr., age 85, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Mr. Schaefer was born on December 31, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1954. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a former member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Mr. Schaefer was a very generous, giving and charitable gentleman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Ladnier Schaefer; and parents, John M. Schaefer, Sr. and Bessie DePrist Schaefer; sister, Janet Shedd. Survivors include his children, John M. “Jack” Schaefer, III, Norman (Sarah) Schaefer, Bobbi Ann (Richard) Day and Bruce Schaefer; brothers, James and Joseph Schaefer; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
