John Kenneth Vaughan,

John Kenneth Vaughan, Sr. passed away in Ocean Springs, MS on August 12, 2021. He was born in Webster County, Fame Community, on June 11, 1932. Ken and Nancy were married May 23, 1953 in Winona, MS. He graduated from MS State in 1955 with a degree in accounting. He and his wife, Nancy, moved to Ocean Springs in 1968 after having lived in Greenville and Columbus, MS. He retired from the Air Force Civilian Service in 1989 after a thirty-four-year career as an Internal Auditor. He was an avid golfer where he was known to his many golfing friends as “K.V.”. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. John was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six years, Nancy Sue Deloach Vaughan; parents, John Davis Eldridge Vaughan and Mary Cleo Edison Vaughan; sister, Sallie Rea Rogers; and brother, Roy. He is survived by his children, John Kenneth Jr., Debra Lynn Harper Trenchard (Todd), William Gary (Susan), and Christopher Michael (Lillian); grandsons, Randall Harper (Amber), Jacob Vaughan (Amanda), and Canaan Vaughan; great-grandchildren, London Grace and Camille Ivy Harper, Grayson Luke and Oliver Benjamin Vaughan; and his youngest sister, Patricia Cousley. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church. A graveside service was held at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Ocean Springs on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. John Vaughan.
