John W. Phillips, Sr.

John W. Phillips, Sr., age 47, of Vancleave, MS passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011. John was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast and a 1983 graduate of Vancleave High School. He retired from Northrop Grumman after a 15 year career as an outside machinist. John Spent 6 years volunteering with the Vancleave Cub Scouts, the later two years as Cub Master. He was preceded in death by his father, JW Phillips; and his sister, Valerie Phillips. Survivors include his wife, Melissa Phillips; his sons, John Phillips, Jr. and Dustin Phillips; his daughter, Camryn Phillips; his mother, Jaunita Phillips; and his sisters, Karen Webb, Rhonda Rushing, both of Vancleave and Angela Peltier of Wasilla, AK. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a 10:00 am funeral service on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Seymour Family Cemetery in St. Martin, MS.
