Johnnie "Granny" Herrington

Johnnie "Granny" Herrington, 75, of Gulfport died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 in Gulfport. She was born in Simpson County, Ms and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for sixty years. She was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon J. Herrington; a son, Ray Herrington; her parents, Ann Courson and John H. Magee; and a sister, Bobbie Saucier. She is survived by three daughters, Verna Goolsby and her husband, Dan of Gulfport, Brenda Phillips and her husband, Jay of Opelika, AL, and Beth Rester of Biloxi; 2 sisters, Mary Blanchard of Gulfport and Faye Pruitt of Magee; a brother, Claude Magee of Magee, and six grandchildren, Kimberly Reid and her husband, Scott of Gulfport, Julie White of Ocean Springs, Brittany Rester of Charlotte, NC, Kristy Herrington of Gulfport, Jason Phillips of Gautier, and Tiffany McConnell of Hattiesburg; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Reid of D'Iberville and Justin Phillips and Corey Phillips of Gautier; and a special great-niece, Taylor Wallace of Gulfport. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport where friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until the service. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
