Mr. Johnny Eugene Cleaves, 60, of Ocean Springs, MS, (formerly of Malden, MO) died Sunday, May 27, 2007, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Cleaves was a U. S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Gautier, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Cleaves, and a brother, Gary Lee Cleaves. Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Cleaves of the home; four sons, John (Christie) Cleaves, Mike (Nikki) Cleaves of St. Louis, MO, John W. Cleaves of the U. S. Air Force, and Jared C. Cleaves of Columbia, MO; one daughter, Lisa Ann (Mike) Roberts of Hot Springs, AR; his mother, Wanda Cleaves of Gideon, MO; two brothers, Rick Cleaves (Laura) of Broken Arrow, OK, and Larry (Rhonda) Cleaves of Paragould, AR; a step daughter, Susan (Richie) Payne of Parma, MO; two step-sons, David (Christa) Riley of Malden, Mo, and Rick Riley of Campbell, MO; a special daughter, Cathy Couch; twelve grandchildren; and many wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Gautier where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to the American Diabetes Assoc- iation, 16 Northtown Drive, Suite 100, Jackson, MS 39211. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS is in charge of arrangements.
