Jonathan Matthew Jenkins

Jonathan Matthew Jenkins, age 32, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. Jonathan was born in San Diego, CA on February 24, 1985 to Carrie Ann Jenkins and Dr. Ronald Jenkins. He was a former resident of Ocean Springs for many years. He was a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran and received his Bachelors of Science degree at Life University in Marietta, GA. Jonathan was studying to be a chiropractor. He was an avid angler; he loved to boat and fish. He was also a very committed father to his fourteen-year-old son. He was a former member of BSA Troop 210 in Ocean Springs. Jonathan is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Perfecto Tafoya, Robert E. Jenkins, and Edward Jose Archuleta. Jonathan’s survivors include his son, Jonathan S. Jenkins; his mother, Carrie Jenkins; his father, Dr. Ronald H. Jenkins; his sisters, Yvette Tafoya and Nicole Jenkins; his brother, Alexander Jenkins; his grandmothers, Grace Sandoval and Ofelia Archuleta; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to his son, Jonathan S. Jenkins. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. An after-service gathering will be held at the Life Church Hall, 13212 Ruth Street, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
