Mrs. Joncie Elizabeth Miles Fayard of Woolmarket died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was 92 She was born May 18, 1912 in South Perry County (Perry County), MS, to the late John Hezekiah Miles and Martha Victoria Fairley Miles. Mrs. Fayard attended Deep Creek School in Southern Perry County and St. Martin School in Jackson County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett H. Fayard; her brothers, William G. Miles, John H. Miles, James C. Miles, Jesse D. Miles and Clancy Miles; her sister, Irene Miles Attaway, and one great grandson, Hayden Lee Husley. She is survived by eight children, five daughters, Evelyn M. Johnson of Biloxi; Nelda Miller and her husband, David, of Pensacola, FL; Martha L. Heard and her husband, Rex, of Logansport, LA; Mary E. King of Biloxi and Evereta A. Bagley and her husband, Claude, of Keatchie, LA; three sons, Hubert L. Fayard and his wife, Emily, of Enterprise, AL; Steven C. Fayard and his wife, Bonnie, of Saucier and Kenneth B. Fayard of Newton, MS and a former daughter-in-lw, Eleanor "Buttons" Martin of Long Beach. Mrs. Fayard is also survived by twenty grandchildren, Marie Holloway, Margaret Brown, Rod Johnson, Ana Johnson and Jef Johnson, Caroline McMullen and Todd Miller, David Zane Heard, Clinton Fayard, Cynthia Serna and Daniel Fayard, William King, Jerry King and Stephanie Davidson, Lee Fayard and Melissa Husley, Jason Bagley and Allen Bagley and Alicia Stephens and Erin Shurley, In addition, she is survived by thirty four great grandchildren, Timothy and Thomas Holloway, Angela Derouen and Benjamin Brown, Dan Johnson and Kimberly Wilson, Zachary Brumley and Lauren Davis, Jesi, Elijah, Travis and Abigail Johnson, Thomas and Mariah McMullen, Lenzi, Brandon and Nikki Heard, Ashley and Lacy Fayard, Ambria and Alea Paulk, Casey Jeanette and Madeline Fayard, Cole Taylor and Anna Davidson, Olivia and Macy Fayard, Blaine Husley, Bryan Hunter Bagley, Randall, Haley and Cody Jake Stephens and Vinson Brancato. She is also survived by seven great-great grandchildren, Timothy Holloway, III, Megan Holloway, Desiree and Delaney Derouen, Brown and Matthew Wilson, Zachary and Ava Grace Brumley. Mrs. Fayard was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the outdoors. Everyone will miss her. A special thanks to the staff at Lakeview Nursing Center, 16411 Robinson Road, Gulfport, MS. The funeral service will be Monday, May 16, 2005, at 7 p.m. at the Orange Grove Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, where friends may visit beginnig at 5 p.m. A private graveside service will be in the Fairley Cemetery in Perry County The family prefers memorials be made to Fairley Cemetery Maintenance Committee, c/o Mary King, 9422 Joncie Lane, Biloxi, MS 39532
