Joseph Anderson Bell

Mr. Joseph Anderson Bell, age 88, resident of Villa Maria Apartments in Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in the Biloxi VA Hospital. Mr. Bell was born on January 23, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK to Joseph A. Bell and Agnes Harrison Bell. He received a B.A. of Science. He was a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an accomplished pilot, platoon leader and National Service Defense Medal recipient. Mr. Bell was an inspector at the USDA, went to Infantry School in 1952 and served in the Army-Air Corps. He loved ballroom and square dancing, the Burger King coffee group, was a New Orleans Saints fan, shooting craps and seeing friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Flora Virginia Ewing. Survivors include his children, Anthony Bell and wife, Elisa, Leslie Bell and Jody Keeling and a sister, Kathryn Bell Findlay. Private services were held. A special thank you goes to the nurses and medical staff of the Biloxi VA Medical Center and to his close friends, especially Dan Barber and Shirley Martin. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
