Mr. Joseph F. Brosh, Jr., 81, of Biloxi, MS., died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Brosh was a lifelong resident of Biloxi. He worked in the seafood factories for Mr. Roy Rosalis prior to entering the Navy at 17 years old in 1942. He entered the Navy as the reigning Middle Weight Boxing Champ of the Coast and soon after became the Naval Boxing Champion of the entire Pacific region while serving in the Philippines. He kept that title throughout his service in the Navy. Mr. Brosh survived two plane crashes in WWII and was highly decorated. He returned to the coast and married Sue Champagne. Mr. Brosh was a Ship Captain and worked in Peru for 5 years. He returned to Biloxi and began a Plumbing Company. He later accepted a position with the City of Biloxi as Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector where he served in excess of 27 years prior to retiring. Mr. Brosh was involved over the years in the Elks Lodge being one of the longest standing members. He also belonged to the Fleur De Lis Society. Mr. Brosh was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Sue Brosh of Biloxi, MS., his parents, Joseph and Mary Brosh of Biloxi, MS., three brothers, James and Steven Brosh of Biloxi, MS., Robert Brosh of Ocean Springs, MS., two sisters, Christine Thomas of Biloxi, MS. and Helen McMichael of Biloxi, MS. Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Tommie Brosh of Ocean Springs, MS, only child, Cindy Brosh of Biloxi, MS., and one sister, Ms. Rosalie Ledet of Biloxi, MS. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Lemoyne Blvd. in D'Iberville, MS. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In Lieu of Flowers, the family request donations to: St. Jude Foundation, One St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
