Joseph "Joe" St. Amant

Irvin Cooperman, age 82, of Gulfport, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 in Gulfport. He was born in Caruthersville, Mo and was a longtime resident of Gulfport. He graduated high school in Caruthersville and served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was the owner of Betir Blinds in Gulfport for over twenty years and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Cooperman was preceded in death by sons, Arthur Cooperman and Mark Cooperman. He is survived by his wife Beth Cooperman of Gulfport; daughters, Fabian and husband, Charles West of Sante Fe, NM, Marsea Amani of St. Petersburg, FL and Libba Cooperman of Pacifica, CA; two step daughters, Mary Anne and husband, Tomas Medina of Orlando, FL and Paige Jennings of Gulfport; a son, P. J. and wife, Laura Cooperman of San Hose, CA; two step-sons, Paul and wife Sue Jennings of Gulfport, and Russ and wife, Terri Jennings of Perkinston; two sisters, Aileen and husband, Herman Frankel of Elyria, OH, and Selma Miller of Tallahassee, FL; a brother, Jack and wife Eleanor Cooperman of Caruthersville, MO; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Following the graveside there will be a memorial celebration at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Gulf Coast Church at Vieux Marche in Biloxi.
