Joseph Matthew Layton

Joseph Matthew Layton, 20, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Joseph was born in Somers Point, NJ and had been a lifelong resident of Ocean Springs. He was a 2009 graduate of Ocean Springs High School and attended Mississippi State University where he majored in business administration. He graduated from MGCCC as an electronic technician. Joseph enjoyed fishing. He was a great skateboarder, and a 4-wheeler enthusiast. He was a happy energetic young man who was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Joseph is survived by his parents, Edwin and Jane Layton; a sister, Amanda Layton; and three brothers, Jacob Layton, Zachary Layton, and Christopher Layton all of Ocean Springs. He is also survived by his grandmother, Margaret Belz of Collinsville, IL; grandfather, Edwin Layton, Jr. of Belleville, IL and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Visitation is Monday, May 9, 2011, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park
