Joseph Glenn Meyer

Joseph Glenn Meyer, age 69, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in Ocean Springs.

Joseph was born in Nashville, TN and has been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1964. He began his restaurant career in 1968 when he co-founded The Jiffy Jac hamburger stand along with his father, Bill. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Biloxi.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Meyer and Mary Sharpe; and his brother, David Meyer.

He is survived by his daughters, Ivy Meyer (Christy) and Callie Ladner (John); son, Dr. Alexander Meyer (Lauren); sister, Belinda Marcum (Harvey); brother, William “Bill” Meyer, Jr.; and six grandchildren, Mari Fayard, Aidan Fayard, Ellie Ladner, Stella Ladner, Millie Ladner, and Lilly Meyer.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff in the ICU at Ocean Springs Hospital for the immense care they provided Joseph. They would also like to thank Joseph’s neighbors for being attentive and thoughtful.

Friends and family may visit from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS. Words of remembrance will follow the visitation.
