Joseph Preston Scarborough

Joseph “Joe” Preston Scarborough, age 83, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Joe was born on November 5, 1942 in Biloxi MS and remained a life long resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He graduated from Biloxi High School in 1960. He attended college at The University of Southern Mississippi in 1964. He joined the United States Army after college and served in Vietnam from 1965-1966. He worked as a HR Director and was employed with Home Depot for 25 years.

During his spare-time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dogs. He was a beloved man who loved his grandchildren and his two dogs. The community of Biloxi lost an amazing man that was loved by all.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Antonia Benson and John Scarborough.

Left to cherish his memory include his sons, Jacob Robert Scarborough, John Lynn Scarborough and Joseph Preston Scarborough Jr; grandchildren, Hannah Schwegel, Joseph Preston Scarborough III, Cadence Schwegel, Presly Scarborough and Teagan Scarborough; and by his pets, Wyatt and LuWei.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Elks Lodge and the Slavonian Lodge.
