Joseph St. Amant

Joseph Elliot St. Amant, age 53, of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away on February 22, 2023.

Joseph was born on September 8, 1969 to Bernard and Martha St. Amant in Biloxi, Mississippi. He graduated from Biloxi High School in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human and Health sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi. He later received his Master’s degree in Education from William Carey University. Upon graduation, Joseph was employed by Biloxi Public Schools as a football and girls track coach for a number of years. He also taught a career discovery class, driver’s education and established the bowling team at Biloxi High School. Christmas being one of his favorite holidays, he enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus for the children and staff at the school. He enjoyed watching football and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha St. Amant; and his brother, Noah St. Amant.

He is survived by his father, Bernard “Cuz” St. Amant; daughter, Lindley St. Amant; siblings, Michelle St. Amant and Todd Godsey; half-sister, Marcie Olivas; and former spouse, Allison St. Amant.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Biloxi. Friends may visit from 9:00 AM until service time. A reception will follow the service.
