Joseph W. "Joe" Miller, 74, retired US Air Force, Gulfport, MS, died Friday, February 10, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport. Born in Polo, Missouri, Mr. Miller had been a Coast resident for the past 24 years. He had owned Flat Branch Campground on Hwy 49, Gulfport, Mississippi.
Mr. Miller was born November 28, 1931, in Polo, Missouri. He graduated from Polo High School class of 1949 before joining the US Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard "Tip" and Mary Miller; and a brother, Charles "Chuck" Miller.
He is survived his wife of 55 years, Zackalene (Zackie) Manley Miller of Gulfport, MS; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Mick) and Dolores Miller; and his daughter, Cynthia J. Miller Weber of Gulfport. Four grandchildren, Tiffany J. Hill and Michael J. Miller of Gulfport, MS; Amber L. Gagnon and husband, Henry of Leakesville, MS; and Ryan Weber of Germany. Three great-grandchildren: Caden Eli Hill, Mya Rose Gagnon, and Ryan J. Weber of Germany. He also leaves a brother, Donald (Yogi) & Laurel (Shorty) Miller of Kingston, MO; sister, Audrey Wright of Hamilton, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Carolyn Miller of Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 17, 2006, 6PM-7PM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, MS.
